- Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled hire date will only receive a refund of the damage deposit; the full hire amount is forfeited.
- Rental fees held as of February 28 each year due to booking postponement must be returned to the customer or forfeited, depending on the cancellation notice given.
- If a booking is postponed less than 48 hours in advance and subsequently cancelled, only the refundable damage deposit will be refunded, even if the new booking is cancelled more than 48 hours in advance.

- The deposit will be returned after all equipment is thoroughly checked by Barefoot Camping Adventures.

- Deductions from the deposit may occur if:

- Equipment requires unusual cleaning.
- Equipment is returned late or after standard office hours.
- Barefoot Camping Adventures staff perform services not part of the original invoice (e.g., equipment setup or breakdown).

- The damage deposit is primarily for remedying damages and may not cover the full replacement cost of lost or stolen items. The hirer is liable for the replacement cost and may need to pay the balance if it exceeds the deposit value.
- Lost or stolen equipment is considered under rental until Barefoot Camping Adventures receives payment for replacement. The renter is liable for additional rental amounts until payment is received.
